Teacher and Educators
A certain school faced with a unique problem.
A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the next day the girls would put them back.
Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night (you can just imagine the yawns from the little princesses).
To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to how the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.
Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.
There are teachers.... and then there are educators.

A quick trip to Saragpur, Botad - Kastbhanjan Hanuman Temple
@25 December:
It had been wonderful day today, more b'coz there was no pending work to be completed...
In the afternoon d question popped of what to do for the evening and just as the disucssion came up the trip to Sarangpur - Kastbhanjan Hanuman Temple. Well it was not that out of blue, but I personally had never visited that place and being a Saturday, got that inner inspiration that we should go for the prayers.
With Google Baba at help, I figured out that it was approx 170 Kms from a'bad (instead it turned out to be 140 Kms) towards the road to Bhavnagar. At approxiamtely 4:00 in evening, we left and reached sharp at 6:00 PM, with a lovely ride on the road to bhavnagar with an awesome environment.
@Sarangpur, we had a wonderful darshan of aarti and did buy some good spiritual things like 'hanuman chalisa' on velvet (probably to put at our new home). I particularly like the idol of 'Lord Hanuman' and the atmosphere there was highly spiritual (inspite of little but well managed rush). Mom's eyes were filled with tears as she had a good time visiting the temple...
The return journey was again facinating as I drove after a long time on 2 lane road @ night... Good to be back behind the wheels :-)
Thanks to Lord Hanuman for making that happen... that's way people say... when its gonna come, its gonna come and you should embrace that with open arms!!! Lets see whats stored there for me in future :-)

A beautiful quote on forgiveness!!!
God asked: What is forgiveness?
A little girl answered: "Its a wonderful fruit that a tree gives when it is being hurt by a stone."

A story behind the inception of this blog!!!
It has been long time I had been thinking of creating and writing in my own blog, probably from the time somewhere in mid may 2010, when I was relatively free and was doing lot of surfing. It was the same time lots of celebrities started their blogs and all newspaper reported their fan following and views. This made my feeling strong that blogs could be strong platform to connect with people.
But immediately the new question popped in my mind? Am I a celebrity to the outside world that I would have followers or people connect? And the answer was simple ‘No’ and thus probably put the blogging on back burner. Now when I am writing this I realize how narrow my thinking was about the blogging… perhaps would have not changed if there wasn’t that article in Times of India.
Now back in early November 2010, I was as per my daily habit was reading everything related to IT and technology, I came across the article mentioning how a small kid of 11 years writing his blog on daily basis about the activities and memories of his school and activities and how his elders encourage it via their comments and feedback… it was something made a kill of me…
Blogs could be excellent depiction of your memories and your views about the world around you. It would de facto let you know at any point of life, how your views changes over period of time… this is the sole reason I created this blog… to capture my memories, my thoughts and my view about the world around me…
Importance of remembering events in once life cannot be quantified. I made it my priority to note down on SBS calendar year on year all the important events during the final school days and entire college life, preserve it in my room, lately to realize that I lost all of them, and there went all the happy and sad memories… I never invented another good method till date and I always have a flat face when my wife asks me a question, ‘On which date we first meet?’ Honestly speaking I don’t remember that date, in spite she tell me that almost every time as answer to this question without getting pissed off, perhaps b’coz she knows it very well how I am with dates and time!!!
This brought me to this blog, which I created promptly in November 2010, but as my well-known habit, couldn’t blog anything as I am poor in implementation of extra activities!!! But enough is enough, here I go and have decided will blog important event on weekly basis… lets c how good I could be… As of now, I am going to blog all the stuff which I think I want to remember when I became old (obviously by age and never by heart) as memories or should I coin my special word ‘Remembrances’ this could be anything, quotes, stories, articles, incidents, observations, events in short anything and everything…
There is one more thing I want to pen down before I put an end to this blog and that is about its title, ‘Another Common Man’… which bear a direct relationship to what I mentioned at start of the blog… I am not a celebrity, leader, politician, ‘king of world’… I am just another common man… probably a similar version of R. K. Laxman’s common man.
Request to all the audience, you read this blog, to share their views as I am open for any thoughts and guidance, specially critics, b’coz I believe that would help sharpen my thoughts… any memories of your with me, regarding me will always find a space in this blog, however good or cruel it might be so feel free to email those to me…
Wishing myself a happy blogging :-)
